![]() ![]() ![]() Once you have worked through your story then you need ask yourselves some questions to better understand that story. ![]() This process helps you to capture the story that “you are making up”. Brown calls this your SFD or (stormy first draft). One way to own your story is to simply write it down. The Rumble: Owning our story This is the stage when you “get honest about the stories we’re making up about our struggle, then challenge these confabulations and assumptions to determine what’s truth, what’s self-protection and what needs to change if we want to live more wholehearted lives”. This is the stage when we need to acknowledge and get curious about our emotions. This step would seem to be an easy one but what really stood out to me here is how easy it is to dismiss or simply ignore our emotions. The Reckoning: Walking into our Story In this step we “recognize emotion and get curious about our feelings and how they connect with the way we think and feel”. ![]()
